My family had a terrible experience at the J Allen Hooper Funeral Home. Calls and e-mails were rarely returned, even to answer the most simple questions. The person helping us actually complained to us that he was overworked. My grandmother looked terrible at the viewing and the makeup was literally cracking off of her hands. I know it was not "her" but we ended up deciding to close the casket because they did such a terrible job. I would avoid this one at all costs.

Hello - my uncle, Turk Miller, was the original director of this funeral home, the only one in Danville. I have many happy memories of visiting the funeral/family home at 10 W. Mahoning during my youth. As I recall, my uncle's professionalism was utmost in his work as well as his insistance in having him who followed him hold the same values. I can only hope that his values have continued to this day.

Richard has been a good friend for a long time. I had 2 sons that passed away (went home). Richard organized two beautiful ceremonies. He went above & beyond to help me through these tragic times. He treated my friends and family with respect & compassion. Thank you for every kindness.
