Funeral Home Reviews
Bandon, Oregon
Our family attended the service for Mary Hildebrand on Thursday the 3rd of January, 2013. The front cover of the folder was done beautifully with a picture. Then I opened the folder! The Twenty-third Psalm was on the left side covering another picture of the husband and wife. The right side, said that service was at 1:00 a.m. REALLY....Casket Bearers names, were in correct...first name and last...double wrong. Oh and the back, which could have had the darling picture of the couple, that was covered in words....was blank! Proofing is a must in this business, it will save many tears.

I am from Florida and my mother passed away in Schenectady, New York. Being from out of state, I was very concerned about who would take care of my mother's remains. I had very little time because I didn't want her in the morgue. I searched and visited many funeral homes in the area and couldn't find what I was looking for, a God based place. I felt that all that I visited were just a business and wasn't sure that my mother would be treated with the respect that she deserved. Finally, God sent me to De Legge Funeral Home. When I rang the door bell a nun answered the door, which I was later told was not the norm. With a warm touch, she held my hand and asked me to come in. I felt that my prayers were answered. Then I met with Mark Laszczynski, who has such a gentle way and understanding of the grief process for the loved ones left behind. He assisted me with the financial aspects and made it very easy. After talking to him about how I would like things done, he immediately left to pick up my mother so that she wasn't left any longer at the hospital. They placed her under a large cross, at the feet of Jesus, with her head resting on a silk pillow. There was to be no viewing and her remains were to be cremated. This is just the way that they treat loved ones. I am so happy and relieved that I found them. They are very respectful and professional. I felt at peace and I'm sure that my mother did too.

I am gracious and relieved by the services that you rendered to my family during the passing of my beloved sister Elnora Finney. Thank you seems so little; nevertheless, I could not let this opportunity pass without saying we appreciate your caring touch, which made it easier for us. We were pleased! We will recommend your services to anyone in need your quality service.

DON'T TRUST Funeral Director (Manager) SHARON HARVEY of Thompson Funeral Home Port Gibson MS!!!!!!! On April 18th 2012 we met with Sharon to make arrangements for Anna May Johnson. The necessary forms were signed for the insurance company, and a cash balance was paid on April 20th 2012. Funeral Services were OK. (not the worst-not the best)!! At the request of Sharon Harvey an additional assignment of 2,000.00 (from an additional insurance policy) was to be sent to the funeral home and she in turn would send that money to us. The isurance company has verified that they did indeed send a check to Sharon Harvey, and when we lasted spoke in July of 2012 she PROMISED to send a money order. Since than (it is now October) Sharon Harvey has not sent a money order, or returned any messages or phone calls!!!! This woman has done nothing but add STRESS to an already emotional family event!!!! To make matters worst the woman who passed was a close friend to Sharon Harvey's grandmother the original owner of Thompson Funeral Home!!!!!
