Owens Funeral Home owner Mike Owens is a very clever man who gains a persons CONFIDENCE, then secretly changes the deal giving himself great advantage. If you must deal with him hire a good probate attorney, if not go to a different funeral home. Be careful he owns three in Alexandria and one in Summitville plus the Alexandria grave yard. I found him to be extremely dishonest and manipulative. I lost several thousand dollars.

I'd give this place 0 stars if I could. The man running the place is the rudest person I've ever met. He started taking flowers off my Nanny's casket and packing her up while we were still in the funeral home crying. He and his staff made laying my Nanny to rest an absolutely horrible experience.

Earl love took care of my ex sister in law and they did an absolute amazing job on how she looked, because she looked really bad at her death, Nice to deal with and very friendly. I would say this would be a great place to go in time of need.

On 12/5/12, I attended Ocie Sear's funeral. I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but as I sat there during the service, I vowed I would let you know. During the service, I became very, very upset with the noise coming from the office area. Do you realize that during Ocie's funeral, your phone rang THREE times. People came in and out multiple times. People were talking loud enough that I could hear their conversations in the service. I find it EXTREMELY disrespectful to the people who are grieving their loved ones. If that's going to be happening, at least shut the double doors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH THIS MAN! It's a good thing his primary customers are already dead, considering how he treats his live customers. In fact if you are unlucky enough to rent housing from him, you and your family may soon wind up as a customer at his funeral home. Perhaps that's the real reason he painted over and then refused to deal with *black mold* in a home he rents to a family with young children, two of whom have serious health problems. After consistently harassing (as in, peeking into their windows, sending *late-night* texts demanding to come over right then, ETC) he decided to tell cut off their water with NO warning. He is to pay utilities, the family has always paid their rent, this was uncalled for and illegal, especially in the middle of summer!!! The diabetic child cannot wash his hands before testing his blood glucose levels. He refuses to be reasonable and turn the water back on. Hmm, is business really that bad that you have to drum up more customers?"
