Funeral Home Reviews
Saint Cloud, Florida
This company's sales representative took horrible advantage of the guardian of my elderly mother, selling her a new funeral plan with new merchandise totaling almost 12000 without contacting Baldwin Fairchild to confirm the 1994 preneed contract they paid almost 9000 for. This was a horrible thing to do.They still have made no effort to refund the 4750 they should have refunded last year.I would never recommend dealing with a funeral home without researching to make sure this never haopens to your loved ones.

I cannot recommend this funeral home at all. The older gentleman who runs it has zero compassion. He talked about how he didn't like the job, couldn't wait to retire, showed off his new watch. The thing that really still bothers me is at the cemetery he was standing behind the navy guard handing me a flag with paperwork in hand, I don't remember the navy mans speech as I was being distracted by this sims guy leaning over his shoulder waiting for him to get done. The minute the guard handed me the flag and left there was this man handing me a flag holder and thanking me for my business. My daughter had broken down on my shoulder when the flag was presented, and I couldn't even comfort her because this guy was in such a rush to get out of there, I had to u hug my daughter to accept the paper work. Everyone noticed but because of the situation didn't intercede. It was appealing, and that's the memory Of my husbands service I'm stuck with. I had to leave the room several times during the planning stage because of his insensitivity, and let my sister speak for me. I looked a headstones there but was so mad at this man I decided to choose one later, and I'm glad I did. I went to wire grass memorial for the headstone and was quoted a price two and a half times cheaper and nicer then the one sims quoted me. I highly recommend speaking to wiregrass memorial before going to sims. They don't do the service but can tell you who is good or not.

The funeral home itself was very clean. I must say though Steve Rains looked nothing like himself. The makeup looked caked on, like the person that did him didnt know what they where doing. His hair was also not the way he wore it either. I probably wouldn't use this company in the future due to Steve not looking like himself at all.

I can only speak for my own personal experience; our family member died unexpectedly and penniless. Unfortunately, we had to go thru the indigent program for our family member's end of life plans. --This mortuary treated us like less than second class citizens and worthless bums. -- They didn't return phone calls in a timely manner, if at all. Treated us as if they were personally doing us a favor. Paid nearly no attention to details. No empathy, concern or even the slightest bit of professionalism exhibited by the pretentious undertaker who was very aloof and uncaring as well as the administrative assistant who was just down right rude and very defensive and acted as if we were bothering her or taking up her time. -- The mortuary itself, is smelly, dirty and extremely out-dated.
