This review is in regards to Gates Funeral Home. I would not recommend this funeral home as I am fighting with the director over his erroneous bill. I had my husband cremated with a short private service. He is billing me for a casket, embalming, etc. This man was more interested in talking about his daughter and her problems with her husband than he was arrangements for my husband. The day of the service I paid him the cremation fee he told me in front of a witness that he would revise the bill and send it to me. I have received a bill from him for a full funeral service which never took place.

Preparation and Service was fine. Follow-up was neglected: failed to get death certificate in a timely manner (nearly a month); failed to send pre-ordered and paid-for videos (nearly 3 months); and failed to add a Grave Marker on grave (still not done).

I have attended several funerals at your chapel within several months. Facilities are excellent but would like to make a suggestion. For the funerals that have an overflow into the foyer there should be some kind of audio so all can hear the services. Also, additional chairs set up for old people like me who cannot stand for a long period of time. Only suggestions but sure would help.

My family member has been gone for a year now but it still hurts. What hurts is that this Funeral home Director name Vicky jackson tried to get more money from my dead family member and tried to get more money from the family and the government. No paperwork was done correctly for his death with the government no honors as she said. They kept giving us a whammy prior to the viewing and the burial please don't use this company (RUNNNNNNN)
