Over the years I've pondered the meaning of trials and sorrow that my loved ones or I have endured. Some believe there are lessons to learn from hardship. I agree. In many instances we learn compassion, empathy, faith, trust, and humility. Our own choices will often lead to natural consequences that...

What is considered proper to wear to a funeral or memorial service differs according to local customs and geographic region. But a few general guidelines can help steer you. Mercifully, the old dreary dictate about wearing only black no longer applies - although, when in doubt, it's still generally ...

Funeral Home Reviews
Seaside, Oregon
Gary Nelson- class of 1966, Seaside H.S., a smiling guy. Ran around with Coleman Schleiss. Was one of the neat classmates, sorry to learn he has passed away.

Bandon, Oregon
Our family attended the service for Mary Hildebrand on Thursday the 3rd of January, 2013. The front cover of the folder was done beautifully with a picture. Then I opened the folder! The Twenty-third Psalm was on the left side covering another picture of the husband and wife. The right side, said that service was at 1:00 a.m. REALLY....Casket Bearers names, were in correct...first name and last...double wrong. Oh and the back, which could have had the darling picture of the couple, that was covered in words....was blank! Proofing is a must in this business, it will save many tears.

Klamath Falls, Oregon
This is the most unprofessional, uncaring and sloppy organization I have ever encountered. "F" rating with BBB they have been reprimanded by the Oregon Board of Mortuary. Many many unhappy customers!

Salem, Oregon
Thanks to everyone at Virgil T Golden. Our WWII veteran father could not have been better taken care of. Cindy Buckner took care of all arrangements professionally and kindly. My family highly recommends. Thank you, Kare

The sign is not visible from road. I drove by 2 times. The writing in the newspaper looked like it was thrown together in a rush very sloppy and not thought out. Was told that some types of flowers were not accepted unless they were a certain height. But on their website, they have where you can order flowers in vases and states they are appropriate for church or funeral home. When the family arrived at the cemetery the director (Ms) was standing with her arms folded like she was ready for it to be over and where have you been kind of look. No flowers were at the cemetery. The casket was already lowered in the ground but had not been closed yet. There was not tent or chairs. After they closed the casket and before everyone left, the maintenance guys were on hand to go ahead and cover up the casket only to get it over kind of attitude. So, I would not EVER choose Kings. I was not pleased at all.
