Our family attended the service for Mary Hildebrand on Thursday the 3rd of January, 2013. The front cover of the folder was done beautifully with a picture. Then I opened the folder! The Twenty-third Psalm was on the left side covering another picture of the husband and wife. The right side, said that service was at 1:00 a.m. REALLY....Casket Bearers names, were in correct...first name and last...double wrong. Oh and the back, which could have had the darling picture of the couple, that was covered in words....was blank! Proofing is a must in this business, it will save many tears. - (Mrs. John Shepherd)
I lived in Hickory/Polk/Green counties growing up raising my family. I have moved out of state and would like to see the Obits. Can I? - (Linda Crites)
Never have I been more horrified then watching the behavior of John Mann the funeral director of the Mann Funeral Home Nunda NY
He had total disregard for his own family during the visiting hours for his Mothers funeral. His rage and anger at his son for coming to pay his respects to his grandmother was un called for. What a nightmare Mr. Mann caused. very unprofessional - (Barbara)
I find that your list of obituaries is very unreliable. You were handling the details of the death of Justin Miller who passed away on 12/26. I called Grimes to learn of the details of the service and was told arrangements hadn't been made yet, but your website would be updated immediately when finalized.
The service happened on 12/29 in Harper. I was told by a family member that the time was 3:00pm. I still returned to your website up until the time we left from home to attend.
We traveled 2 hours, from Bastrop, to attend and when we arrived learned the service began @ 2:00 instead. What is the purpose of your website if it is not to supply accurate and updated details. I think it is very irresponsible not to have this information available. Therefore I rate your funeral services rating 1 star. - (Laura Cunningham)
Dealing with CR and his crew is like dealing with a bunch of poorly trained monkeys.
My father died very suddenly, without any true preparation in funerary matters.
So you'd think that Piatt&Barnhill would take the opportunity to do the best job they could. They didn't.
Created by CR and his terrible toupee our questions were greeted by a series of bumbling "uhs" and "I don't know". If my father's body wasn't already in transit I would have walked out then and know now what I do, I should have.
But that was only the beginning. After countless clerical errors on the death certificates, they refused to mail them to us. Demanding that we stop in and pick them up.
For being in the business of helping alleviate stress and work during a time of grief theses people, they fail immensely. - (Citizen)
Your computer system is of no value, other than posting you phone number. I wasn't able to use it to find a funeral let alone the obituary. totally unacceptable. - (George Fagerstrom)
We recently worked with the Nick Lux at the Lux Schnepp Funeral Home in Crystal. I can say nothing but FABULOUS things. In such a difficult time he and his staff were not only helpful, compassionate, but personable. They were flexible in allowing me to do my mother's makeup and helped make her look like the person we all knew. I highly recommend working with the Lux family. - (Amy Upham)
Thank you for caring for my brother Dwight Henley I will miss him, he was far away from alabama. Nancy Henley is a nice wife to Dwight, Peace be to Nancy & Dwight. Happy holidays to eveyone. thank you - (jean henley tyree)
Craig Funeral Home has the most professional staff in the area. They also went out of their way to accommodate my family. If you are thinking about another funeral home then look no further. They are the best, hands down! - (Kevin cormick)
I have never in my life been so DISGUSTED with a business. Absolute lack of class, dignity, honor, and respect! The proprietor made us feel second class - like we were a burden to his busy schedule, and business - rushing through details like we were in line for a burger and fries! He even made us feel like we were holding him up, like what he was doing was a favor for us. How can anyone remain in business without some empathy at a families time of suffering, and need for compassionate patience is beyond me. If I could rate him lower than 1 I would. And parking was terrible. - (Joe Schnay)

On 12/5/12, I attended Ocie Sear's funeral. I'm not sure if you are aware of this, but as I sat there during the service, I vowed I would let you know.
During the service, I became very, very upset with the noise coming from the office area. Do you realize that during Ocie's funeral, your phone rang THREE times. People came in and out multiple times. People were talking loud enough that I could hear their conversations in the service. I find it EXTREMELY disrespectful to the people who are grieving their loved ones. If that's going to be happening, at least shut the double doors!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! - (A friend)
Was called in to work on their Generator during hurricane Sandy. Generator is very old and parts would be difficult to find. located parts and found generator has furthr problems that dont warrent going any furthr. Customer does not return phone calls for payment. Made three calls to office and asnwering service keeps giving messages to client. No replies to messages inturn customer is avoiding payment for services provided. Poor business ethics. - (Rene Lachapelle)
Our family specifically requested not to know the day/date of our mother's creamation. At the time we picked up our mother's cremains, the date was printed on the front of the envelope and there was a certificate identifying the date as well inside the envelope. Horrid, horrid people! - (Anonymous)
